What are we building?
This song is built around pitches that sit within the optimal range for young singing voices. Children explore vocal sounds with a rising pitch as the spider moves up their body. Children are supported to feel the beat by tapping the spider on the different parts of their bodies as they sing.
You could put the spider on different body parts and create new rhymes. These could be real or made up! Could you sing the song in reverse? Children can explore vocal sounds with a falling pitch as the spider moves down their bodies.
