TVMS Ensembles – Music for Everyone​

At Tees Valley Music Service, we believe that making music together is one of the most exciting parts of learning an instrument. That’s why we offer a wide range of ensembles for all ages, all abilities and all instruments — from complete beginners to advanced performers.

 

Whether you play brass, woodwind, strings, percussion or love to sing, TVMS can provide — or signpost you to — a group that suits your level and interests.

Open to All

• FREE for all TVMS pupils
  If you learn with us, you can join any TVMS‑run ensemble at no cost.

• Open to non‑TVMS learners
  You don’t need to have lessons with us to take part. Players from across the region are welcome to join for a small membership fee.

A Supportive Pathway from Beginner to Advanced

 

Shortly after starting lessons, most learners are invited to join one of our beginner ensembles. These groups offer a friendly, encouraging first experience of playing with others — an important step that builds confidence and musical skills.

 

As musicians progress, they can move through our ensemble pathway towards our Premier Ensembles, which bring together some of the most experienced young players from across all four Tees Valley boroughs and beyond.
