Since 2000, Snappy Music has been at the forefront of supporting teachers across the Tees Valley in delivering high‑quality, engaging music lessons. What began as a set of practical, jargon‑free CPD sessions for non‑specialist teachers quickly grew into a trusted brand, helping thousands of classroom practitioners feel confident, creative and inspired in their music teaching.

The success of these termly training courses soon sparked something bigger: large‑scale singing celebrations that brought schools together from across the region. The first Snappy Christmas events captured imaginations, with hundreds of children performing joyful songs side‑by‑side — and from there, Snappy Music became a beloved fixture in the Tees Valley musical calendar.

 

As the programme expanded, so did its resources. Snappy Music developed a rich bank of original songs, curriculum‑linked activities and extension materials — a collection that has since attracted the attention of national publishers and continues to grow year after year.

Our Snappy Big Sing events demonstrate this perfectly. Every year, thousands of children from dozens of schools come together to take part in mass singing events, performing to delighted audiences of parents and carers. These events get bigger and more vibrant each year, with Snappy Christmas remaining the most loved and eagerly anticipated.
