I HEAR THUNDER

What are we building?

This song uses a familiar melody with repetition to support children to sing along confidently. The children will enjoy exploring a new instrument and then playing it in different ways to create contrasting dynamics (volumes) for the thunder and raindrops.

Can the children name any other types of weather? Create different weather sound effects using the drum, for example, swirling flat hands on the drum to create the sound of whooshing wind. This could be built further to explore other instrument sounds too. You’ll soon be creating a full musical storm!

Build it further...
