What are we building?
This activity is rooted in creativity as the children use their imaginations to travel to the moon! Two different voice types are used: singing and speaking. As the children count down, they change tempo (speed) by getting faster and dynamics (volume) by getting louder.
You could further explore tempo by making the journey to the moon ‘fast’ or ‘slow’. This could be shown by singing the song more quickly or slowly. Similarly, the journey could be ‘loud’ or ‘quiet’ (dynamics). Children could add instrument or vocal sounds effects to their journey.
