Instrumental and Singing Lessons for Children and Young People
Over the last 25 years, TVMS has become well-known for its 'SNAPPY' performance programme - a highlight for thousands of children across Teesside, bringing them together for unforgettable Spring, Summer, and Christmas events. Families treasure these special moments, often sharing how bittersweet it is when their children transition to secondary school and they can no longer attend.
What many may not realise is that the talented teachers from TVMS - some of whom form the live SNAPPY band - are dedicated to nurturing young musical every day in schools across Teesside. Children can discover the joy of music via a wide range of instrument and vocal lessons, along with engaging ensembles, available throughout Teesside during the academic year.
Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, experienced instructors from TVMS are able to guide you every step of way. Lessons take place in schools (daytime) and our local music centres (evenings) across Stockton, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland.

Do lessons happen every week?
We aim to provide regular weekly lessons during term time, but this is not always possible due to teacher absence, school closures, staff training or other timetable changes. TVMS aims to provide 30 guaranteed lessons across an academic year (pro rata when starting within a school year).
